Get born, get ready to die. Look up into the sky and praise the time that is left. The flame is still burning. And what does it matter now? Universal guilt means nothing. It’s not easy to love life. I will grow stronger. There are no more enemies, no more lies. I will grow stronger. Helpless, hopeless. I never thought I would feel this pain again. Feel this wave again, cause no-one survives this. I never thought the time would come. You will leave. And everything is gone.

Trying to follow up a masterpiece of an album is a daunting task for any artist. How does Meilenwald respond? Doing what he always does. He takes his sound in a new approach, adding gothic and even some light death metal elements. While always maintaing his perfect atmosphere, TTG is the first album since UTS that is more song focused vs the focus on a album wide concept. He perfects his songwriting, ending up with some of his best moments and being his tightest written album. 4.5/5

Listening to this on shrooms was haunting, which made it into a serious trip! Which was a mistake I was not prepared for. I do have something to say about it though on why I think it such. I have personally experienced several tipi ceremonies. One would stay up through the night, consuming peyote, doing in some sense a molting process and does so by connecting you to the spirit world. This album does this, but different - I say it transcends that experience, and does it well... On shrooms.

PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it. That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter.
